Dallas golfer Doug Albee competes at state
The team places fifth in the Mid-Willamette tournament.

DALLAS -- Dallas golfer Doug Albee was 17 strokes over par May 13 midway through the second round of the Class 5A state golf tournament at Trysting Tree in Corvallis.
   Albee, who qualified for state as an individual, shot an 82 in the first round May 12. The junior was seven strokes over par halfway through the second and final round the following day. Overall, he was 49th of 78 players in the field.
   Final results were unavailable at press time.
   Albee had a 36-hole total of 154 May 5-6 in the Mid-Willamette tournament, which also was held at Trysting Tree. Albee placed fifth in the MWC tourney.
   The Dragons finished the league tourney fifth overall with a team total of 705. West Albany won with a 600 and was followed by Crescent Valley (608), South Albany (677) and Corvallis (678).
   Other finishers for Dallas at the MWC tournament were Justin Schepige (176), Seth Stephenson (184), Clay Morod (191) and Alex Searles (197).
