   "Don't Be A Victim" at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, is a program about protecting oneself from financial fraud. The presentation from Adult Protective Services is aimed at the senior citizen population, but the information applies to any who might be vulnerable. Admission is free.
   "You've Still Got It" from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, is a monthly interactive game show of personal history and cognitive skill. Three members of the Dallas Area Seniors are interviewed, and the answers to their questions are put into a Jeopardy-style question and answer game. Lunch and prizes are provided by Humana Health.
   Monthly Spirit Mountain Casino trips continue; the next is from 10:45 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. The bus departs at 11 a.m. Cost is $5. Non-members are welcome to ride along if space is available. More information is available at the required registration at the senior center before the trip.
   The November general meeting and a Thanksgiving party potluck honoring veterans is set 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. A flag ceremony and patriotic music will be featured; Dallas Area Seniors will supply the turkey.
   A guest speaker, Jeanne Burbank of Polk County Commission on Children and Families, will talk about how a holiday project will benefit Polk County seniors in need and how DAS can help. Attendees are asked to bring side dishes. Bingo will follow.
   The Dallas Area Seniors Holiday Craft Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17.
   Handmade gifts, baked goods, candies and soup will be available at this fund-raiser for the Dallas Senior Center. For more information: Blanche Pryor, 503-623-8289.
   MONMOUTH SENIOR CENTER

   The semiannual Soup and Pie Sale netted $1,336, a record, for senior center projects and programs. Organizer Angie Amos and many volunteers made this fall's event a success.
   A potluck dinner is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9. Seniors are invited to bring a main dish, salad or dessert to go with the turkey provided by the Friends of the Senior Center.
   A program on protecting against financial fraud will be part of the activity.
   Seniors can register for a Nov. 15-16, eight-hour AARP Defensive Driving class. Cost is $10.
   "Podcasting" will be the topic of a Nov. 15 Computer Talk session, beginning at noon.
   "Getting in the Mood for Christmas" is set for 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. It will feature ice cream sundaes and other refreshments and treats brought by participants.
   A Christmas tea is scheduled for Dec. 19 at the center. A variety of teas, cookies and instruction on Christmas tea arrangements will be offered; signing up by Dec. 13 is required.
   "On the Road" trips coming up are Nov. 14 to Mission Mill, then McGrath's restaurant for lunch; Nov. 16 to Spirit Mountain Casino; and Feb. 2 to "Stars on Ice" in Portland. Sign up at the senior center.
