6/11 ANNIVERSARIES
*Rempel

Rempel -- 50th
   Harold and Shirley Rempel of Dallas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sunday, June 15, hosted by family. A family trip to the Oregon Coast will follow.
   Friends are invited to the celebration, scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. A planned program begins at 3 p.m. in the Family Activity Center of the Dallas Evangelical Bible Church, 1175 SE Howe St.

Shirley and Harold Rempel
Harold Rempel and Shirley Neufeld were married on Friday, June 13, 1958, at Dallas Mennonite Brethren Church in Dallas.
   Elmer Goertz, Martin Classen and Ed Duerksen, all uncles of the couple, officiated the ceremony.
   The Rempels are lifelong residents of Dallas. Harold worked in maintenance services for Dallas Retirement Village, retiring in 2006. Shirley is a florist.
   The couple attends Evangelical Bible Church and is involved with "Reading Buddies" at Whitworth Elementary School.
   Harold is a MOPS (Mothers of Preschool children) volunteer and enjoys gardening, woodworking, and singing in the church choir and the men's octet.
   Shirley enjoys writing music, playing piano and her late mother's vintage Vibra-Harp, and flower arranging.
   Their family includes Kevin and Connie Enns-Rempel of Fresno, Calif., Brent and Tami Allen of Salem, Phil Rempel and Teresa Moser of Albany, and five grandchildren.
